Create a New Metric Source

The following steps can be used to create a new metric source:

To create a new metric source, navigate to Metric Sources using the navigation bar. If you are an Administrator it can be found under Experiences.

In the top right corner click on the New Metric Source button. This opens a dialog showing an overview of all supported (and future) applications that have been seamlessly integrated into XLAONE:

Select your metric provider of choice and click Next.

Depending on the selected integration provider some additional configuration settings have to be fill in. Before the metric source can be saved, make sure to fill in all the required fields:

In general a unique name is required, but it's also recommended to enter a description. Several metric sources also require connection details. Refer to the documentation specific for each metric provider for further details. If the dialog has a Connect button it's recommended to test your connection settings before saving.

Optional

Depending on the type (i.e. data push or data pull) of the metric source it may be required to configure the external application or service with the settings that are presented in the dialog.
